This information comes from GEO: What can be Recycled On Campus?
Every building on campus has the capability to recycle Glass, Plastic, Metals, and Cardboard:
Plastic:
All plastic marked with a 1 or 2 can be recycled
Do NOT recycle plastic bottle tops
Plastic bags must be recycled at source (i.e. Wegmans)
Glass:
All colors and types can be recycled except tempered glass
Tempered glass is usually found in the windows of cars, glass doors and tables and some dinnerware
Metal:
Any metal can be recycled. This includes but is not limited to drink cans, non-perishable food cans and copper wire.
Tops of cans may be recycled.
To recycle large metal items, write a work order for Facilities Services pickup
Cardboard:
There is a cardboard recycling tote located on the ground floor of each campus building and a designated area in each recycling room in on-campus housing buildings.
Cardboard should be flattened before it is recycled
For cardboard containing food, clean off as much of the food as possible before recycling
Batteries:
Do not recycle alkaline and carbon zinc household batteries
You can recycle small rechargeable batteries in the battery buckets located:
o Clark loading dock
o Bailey loading dock
o ISC third floor (Biology area)
o Newton CIT equipment room
o Residence Life office (Schrader)
o Various residence hall recycling rooms
For large rechargeable batteries, contact Facilities
Computers:
